At this stage of my project, I decided to explore
different ways to view pictures and I came across Text-image.com. It converts
images into text, which I found interesting and unique. The converter itself is
written in Pike, and works by analysing the image's pixels and printing a
character with the same colour. I once again chose Gustav Klimt’s ‘tree of life’
as it is relevant to what I am trying to interpret. I was slightly disappointed
with the results as the image appears in tiny pixels of text rather than actual
words. However unique I much rather Tagxedo, although it doesn’t use real
pictures, shapes and text are used, which I am interested in and will have to
explore further.
